Column Five Team Collaborate to Creatively Showcase Brand Values

One of the biggest problems with brands today is that there internal values don’t actually align with their everyday actions. You’ve all seen it before, meaningless words about trust, honesty, excellence and respect, hung around the office walls collecting dust. Sometimes it feels like they are just there because they have to be. Your brands internal values should excite your team members, motivate and inspire them everyday and continue to remind them why they are doing what they genuinely love to do.

Media company Column Five have just released a short succinct video on their about page, that completely and whole-heartedly represents their main values and how it impacts their internal culture directly. The entire team all took part in an 8 hour long hackathon, to create a messy, bright and fun time lapse typographic video of their mantra “We do good work with good people”. It may seem like a vague statement, but the team have really brought life and meaning to the values, proving to the world that every living and breathing moment is dedicated to the very essence.

The process involved 7 workstations across the office and numerous GoPros timed to take a picture every 4 seconds of the day. At the end of the day, the team sorted through thousands of photos to compile all 7 timeless into one single video that communicated the phrase in an efficient way.
