Reinventing an Old Local

A branding project for long-time friend Blue Tongue had us very excited. The challenge was to rebrand in a way that respected the wine bar and restaurant’s older clientele, but also appealed to new customers.

The old-school hospitality, the music, the decor – or, more specifically, the restaurant’s iconic birdcage – inspired the new brand. Using hand-drawn elements, newspaper-like paper and friendly language, the new branding provided a touch of nostalgia and warmth to engage with all of Blue Tongue’s customers.
