For those of you that have been living under a rock, Melbourne’s Music Week is commencing this weekend and there are a whole heap of cool things you should be taking your wingmen/women along to. Between a series of events dabbling in food, dance, art - they are all brought together by the amazing sounds of local and international musically talented acts. Here are just a few of the events on around town we think will be the highlights.
5.30-8pm Fri 13 Nov
Former Royal Womens Hospital, Melbourne
“Interactive, evocative and avant-garde, Swell reimagines what a live music experience can be through art and design. It’s an immersive adventure unlike anything else.”
This intriguing event takes audiences through a series of rooms for exploration, featuring a secret lineup of music throughout. Anew take on the live music experience, this event helps audiences discover a new love for music in an unconventional way.

Press Club, Flinders st
We can’t deny it, we love food. This innovative event promises to have your gastronic perceptions altered through the celebration of music and food.

New Orleans Street Party

For the final night of the week, Melbourne is putting on the ultimate New Orleans style street party. Listen to traditional jazz, swing and New Orleans brass band funk while enjoying tasty cuisine from America’s south.
